Louisiana Man Arrested in Connection with October 17 Stabbing Death

Francis Denixon Vasquex-Aguilar, 19, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was taken into custody by investigators on October 18, 2022, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Investigators indicated that they believe that Vasquex-Aguilar is connected to the death of Anibal Antonio Galeas Mancia, which took place on October 17, 2022, in the 4000 Block of Airline Highway.

Vasquex-Aguilar was booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the charge of Second Degree Murder.

On October 17, 2022, detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department initially stated that they were investigating a stabbing that had taken place at an address in the 4000 Block of Airline Highway around 12:15 in the morning.

The victim, identified as Anibal Antonio Galeas Mancia, 39, Quida Mae Drive in Baton Rouge was found suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. Mancia was unable to survive his injuries and passed away at the scene.

This investigation is still active at this time.
