Louisiana Man Arrested in Connection with Multiple Counts of Sexual Battery & Molestation of Juveniles
Lake Charles, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office revealed on November 9, 2022, that on November 6, CPSO investigators received a complaint of William C. Smith, 32, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, committing sexual battery on a child.
During the course of the inquiry, officers discovered a second young victim. Detectives were able to gather evidence that supported the victims' claims.
Smith was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on November 8 after speaking with detectives. He was charged with 7 counts of felony sexual battery and molestation of a juvenile. His bond was set at $700,000 by Judge Tony Fazzio.
Detective Kara Adams of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is the case's lead investigator.
