Louisiana Man Arrested in Connection with June Homicide and is Suspected to be Involved in Other Crimes
The Shreveport Police Department confirmed on September 6, 2022, that on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, patrol officers responded to the 1700 block of Jamison on reports of a shooting that had just happened. Officers on the scene discovered a white vehicle that had been hit many times by gunfire.
The Shreveport Fire Department discovered a victim who appeared to have been inside the vehicle who had been shot many times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was sent to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units were dispatched to the scene. CSIU gathered evidence while detectives scoured the neighborhood for witnesses and footage.
Shreveport Police encountered Regge Williams in a stolen car on September 3, 2022. Williams was also discovered to have an outstanding armed robbery warrant.
According to new information, Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Detectives believe Williams is also responsible for the June 7th homicide of Kabrodrick Mitchell.
Regge Williams was charged with one count of 2nd-degree murder.
According to authorities, after the arrest of this violent suspect, several witnesses came forward, and it is thought that more exist. Anyone with information is asked to call the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
