Louisiana Man Arrested in Connection with Cyberstalking After Allegedly Stealing a Crawfish Pot and Messaging and Calling His Ex Constantly

Louisiana – On September 13, 2022, the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office revealed that on August 20, 2022, deputies responded to a home on Hundley Road about a theft.

Deputies met with the complainant, who indicated that her ex-boyfriend, Cade Bryant Charlie, 31, of Belaire Cove in Ville Platte, Louisiana, took a crawfish pot and other belongings from her home without consent. Charlie sent her a message with a  picture of the pot.

The complainant said Charlie would then call her up to 100 times per day and message her continuously.

On Monday, September 12, 2022, deputies spotted Charlie in Jennings and arrested him on an outstanding warrant for cyberstalking.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
