Louisiana Man Arrested in Calcasieu Parish for Alleged Rape of Victim Under 13
Westlake, LA – Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on April 26, 2022, that on April 22, CPSO detectives received a report of a rape.
During the initial investigation, the victim informed detectives that Darcy R. Sones, 62, of Westlake, LA had inappropriate sexual contact with her on at least ten occasions.
After further investigation Sones was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 10 counts of sexual battery of a victim under the age of 13; 2 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile; and 1st degree rape. Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $1.1 million.
Detective Kara Adams of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is the case’s lead investigator.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
