Louisiana Man Arrested For Multiple Offenses Allegedly Committed During Road Rage Incident in Lake Charles

Lake Charles, Louisiana - A Louisiana man has been arrested for multiple offenses allegedly committed during a road rage incident in Lake Charles.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. on August 18, 2023, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shooting at the intersection of Goos Road and Frontier Trail in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The initial investigation revealed that Dylan W. Youngblood, a 30-year-old resident of Ragley, Louisiana discharged a firearm from his moving SUV during a road rage incident, resulting in damage to a truck. Juveniles were present during the time of the shooting. Youngblood fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after.

He has since been charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated criminal damage to property; contributing to the delinquency of juveniles during the commission of a crime of violence; illegal use of a weapon by discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle; and illegal use of a weapon by discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.

Youngblood's bond was still pending at the time this was published.

As of now, there have been no reports of any injuries. The investigation is ongoing and being led by CPSO Detective Barrett Savoie.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
