Louisiana Man Arrested for Domestic Abuse, False Imprisonment, and Other Charges After Reports of a Man Wielding a knife

Jennings, Louisiana, The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on November 14, 2022, that on Friday, November 11, deputies responded to a disturbance complaint in the 3000 Block of Cleopha Road in Jennings, Louisiana.

The complainant reported that a husband and wife were arguing and that the husband was wielding a knife, according to officials.

Sebastian Lynn Hanks, 29, of Jennings, Louisiana was arrested by deputies for Domestic abuse aggravated assault with child endangerment, false imprisonment, aggravated assault, simple criminal damage to property, and false imprisonment.

According to witnesses, Hanks attempted to prevent his wife from leaving with the child and punctured a tire on her vehicle with the knife he used to assault her.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
