Louisiana Man Arrested for Domestic Abuse After Allegedly Pushing His Wife Down and Trying to Take Her Phone

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested for domestic abuse after allegedly pushing his wife down and trying to take her phone.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on April 10, 2023, that on April 4, deputies were summoned to an address in the 200 Block of Willard Street, Welsh, Louisiana, for a possible domestic battery.

The incident occurred in the 13300 Block of Bellard Road in Welsh, according to deputies. The complainant reportedly told investigators that she and her husband had an argument, and he pushed her down and tried to take her phone away from her.

The complainant also reportedly stated that the entire incident was witnessed by their four-year-old son.

Authorities indicated that Brandt Williams Poole, 34, of Welsh, Louisiana was arrested and charged with domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
