Louisiana Man Arrested for Allegedly Setting Fire to His Estranged Wife’s Vehicle
Louisiana – According to the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office (LASFM), a New Orleans, Louisiana man has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to his estranged wife’s automobile.
Thursday, February 9th, 31-year-old Troy Ross was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on one count each of Simple Arson and Felonious Stalking.
In the early hours of February 9, the Hammond Fire Department was dispatched to the 43000 block of Dillon Road in response to a report of a vehicle fire. Hammond Fire Prevention Bureau officers discovered that the vehicle owner and her children had recently been threatened by Ross. The LASFM deputies were then asked to aid in the inquiry.
After evaluating the scene and collecting witness testimony, authorities decided that the fire was intentionally started and named Ross as a suspect in the case.
Ross was apprehended in Laplace, Louisiana thanks to the assistance of the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was subsequently taken to the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, where he was booked in relation to the incident.
