Louisiana Man Arrested For Allegedly Having Images of and a Sexual Relationship with Juveniles

Lafourche Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested for allegedly having images of and a sexual relationship with juveniles.

Sheriff Craig Webre of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Galliano, Louisiana man on April 19, 2023, for alleged sex crimes involving juveniles. Benjamin Griffin, 19, of Galliano, Louisiana was taken into custody on April 17, 2023.

Griffin allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl, prompting juvenile detectives to launch an inquiry late last year. Lafourche Parish Detectives reportedly Police discovered that the two had exchanged sexual images and communications and that Griffin would sneak into the girl’s home at night and engage in sexual intercourse.

Detectives also reportedly discovered Griffin possessed nude images of another 16-year-old girl over the course of the inquiry. Authorities attempted to talk with Griffin about these instances, but he reportedly declined. Detectives then acquired an arrest warrant for him.

Griffin was arrested on April 17, 2023, when patrol deputies made contact with him. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Center. He was charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, computer-aided solicitation for sexual purposes, and pornography involving juveniles. The bail amount is set at $250,000.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
