Baton Rouge, Louisiana – A disturbing incident unfolded in a Baton Rouge, Louisiana grocery store, leading to the arrest of Johnathan Gibbs, a store employee, on charges of Video Voyeurism and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, detectives from the Major Assaults Division apprehended Gibbs after an investigation revealed that he had been following a victim, a juvenile, and her mother around the store. Gibbs, posing as a store employee, would strategically place his phone on the ground near the victim, who was wearing a skirt, under the guise of stocking shelves. He would then engage the victim in conversation, while secretly recording her.

The mother, growing suspicious of Gibbs’ behavior, alerted the store manager, who promptly notified the authorities. Gibbs was taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the aforementioned charges.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
