Louisiana Man Arrested for 200 Counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles
Shreveport, Louisiana – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said on July 27, 2022, that detectives apprehended a Shreveport, Louisiana man after reportedly discovering hundreds of child pornography files on his computer devices, according to Sheriff Steve Prator.
Glenderek Merritt, 25, of Shreveport, Louisiana, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center and charged with 200 counts of pornography involving juveniles.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Merritt’s home in the 9700 block of Baird Road after receiving a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Caddo Cyber Crimes Detective Jared Marshall analyzed the media devices confiscated from Merritt’s residence and uncovered over 200 files containing explicit sex acts performed by children as young as four years old.
Merritt may face additional charges as the investigation continues.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
