Louisiana Man Arrested, Charged with Murder, Weapons Charges, Other Crimes in Connection with a September 30 Shooting
Ascension Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, and aggravated criminal damage to property in connection with the homicide of Jasper Dorsey in Gonzales, Louisiana on September 30, 2022.
According to Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre, investigators with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Gregory Magee Jr., 21, on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in connection with the homicide of Jasper Dorsey, 22, of Gonzales, Louisiana.
Magee is charged with second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, and aggravated criminal damage to property.
Deputies responded to a shooting incident on Oak Meadows Street in Gonzales on Friday, September 30, 2022. Deputies arrived to find Jasper Dorsey dead inside his car from several gunshot wounds. Detectives identified Gregory Magee Jr. as the suspect during their investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for him. On the aforementioned counts, he was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. Because this is an active inquiry, additional information may be limited at this time.
