Louisiana Man Arrested at Truck Stop After Alleged Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment and Other Crimes

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man was arrested at a truck stop after alleged domestic abuse battery with child endangerment and other crimes

According to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office, on March 12, 2023, deputies were summoned to a Truck Stop on Highway 395 in Roanoke, Louisiana, in connection to a dispute.
Deputies arrived to find a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend who had stopped at the truck stop.

According to a witness, the male pushed the female down in the parking lot and pulled her hair. Authorities reportedly found the woman with injuries on her face, beneath her right eye, and scratches on her arm.

Joubert and his girlfriend were traveling with a minor.

Michael Ray Joubert II, 29, of Opelousas, Louisiana, was arrested and charged with domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.

Joubert was reportedly out on bond for his arrest in Calcasieu Parish on January 8, 2023, for Domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. Authorities indicated that this was Joubert’s eleventh arrest, including drug charges, possession of firearms by felon and domestic abuse.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
