Louisiana Man Arrested as a Suspect in Multiple Burglaries in St John the Baptist Parish
St John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested as a suspect in multiple burglaries in St John the Baptist Parish.
On June 22, 2023, the St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office revealed that on June 17, deputies responded to a call for service in Garyville, Louisiana’s 300 block of Historic West St. in regard to things stolen from a resident’s yard. Deputies responded to two distinct requests for service in the 3000 block of LA Highway 44 in Garyville, Louisiana on Sunday, June 18, in regard to items stolen from two residents’ sheds.
Investigators were able to verify the same male suspect committed all three crimes after studying video evidence from people in the regions as well as crime camera footage. On Wednesday, June 22, investigators were scouring the area where the crimes took place when they came across a subject who matched the description of the suspect shown on camera. Ulysess Brown Jr., 57, of Garyville, was identified as the victim. Investigators interrogated Ulysess Brown Jr., who reportedly admitted to all three crimes as well as a previously undetected theft.
Brown was arrested and booked into the St. John Parish jail on two counts of Simple Burglar violation and one count of Theft. He is being remanded in jail on a bond of $10,500.
