Louisiana Man Arrested After Multiple Allegations of Sex Offenses Involving Juveniles

Shreveport, Louisiana – The Shreveport Police Department reported on September 19, 2022, that a male had been apprehended for many sex offenses involving children. Officers were alerted about 9:40 a.m. on September 18, 2022, regarding reports of a sexual assault on a small child. Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Unit detectives responded and began an investigation into the claims.

Detectives were able to arrest 41-year-old Nicholas Bovay on one count of Pornography Involving Juveniles with the help of the Gingerbread House Child Advocacy Center.
Further inquiry into this case found that Bovay was accused of many offenses involving children. Detectives charged Bonvay with two counts of first-degree rape and two counts of molestation of a juvenile under the age of 13 on September 19th, 2022.

These charges carry up to a life sentence if he is convicted.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
