Louisiana Man Arrested After Confirming Victim’s Allegations of Alleged Sexual Battery of a Juvenile
Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on October 3 that on August 9, CPSO detectives started investigating a sexual battery accusation involving a child. Detectives questioned the suspect, Dalton T. Arrant, 23, of Sulphur, Louisiana, and he confirmed the victim’s allegations.
Arrant was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on September 22. He has been charged with sexual battery of a juvenile under the age of 13. His bond was set at $750,000 by Judge Tony Fazzio.
Detectives Kimberly Curran and Sonny Schiro of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office are the case’s principal investigators.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
