Louisiana Man Arrested After Allegedly Using Girlfriend’s Phone to Send Lewd Messages to a Juvenile
Lafourche Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested after he allegedly used his girlfriend’s phone to send lewd messages to a juvenile.
Sheriff Craig Webre of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Lockport, Louisiana man for allegedly sending lewd text messages and images to a 13-year-old girl. On Thursday, Scott Boudreaux Jr., 19, of Lockport, Louisiana was arrested.
According to reports from authorities, juvenile detectives initiated an investigation into Boudreaux earlier this year after finding he had transmitted sexually explicit text messages and images to a 13-year-old girl. They reportedly found evidence that Boudreaux sent the messages to the juvenile using his girlfriend’s smartphone throughout their inquiry. Authorities then acquired an arrest warrant for him.
On the evening of Thursday, April 28, 2023, a Lockport Police Department officer located and contacted Boudreaux in the Town of Lockport. When Boudreaux saw deputies approaching, he began running but was quickly apprehended.
On a warrant for computer-aided solicitation of a minor, Boudreaux was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He was also charged with resisting an officer. The bail amount is $77,500.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
