Louisiana Man Arrested After Allegedly Harassing and Stalking A Family Member with Sexual Motives
Louisiana – The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office stated on September 13, 2022, that on August 27, 2022, Deputies responded to an address on Highway 99 in Welsh, Louisiana in reference to a complaint of Harassment. Deputies spoke with the complainant, who stated that her uncle had been harassing her for several weeks.
The complainant claimed he asked her to spend the night with him for sexual motives and nude images. The uncle has also been driving by her house, turning into her driveway, and sitting.
Deputies obtained warrants for Steven Dean Blanchard, 40, of Hwy 395, in Welsh, Louisiana for telephone harassment, 2 counts of stalking, 2 counts of criminal trespass, and 2 counts of entry or remaining after being forbidden.
Deputies discovered Blanchard on September 12, 2022, behind his home. Blanchard was apprehended by deputies and taken to the parish jail for booking.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
