Louisiana Man Arrested Accused of Domestic Abuse Battery with Strangulation and Other Charges After Reports Made at a School

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested and accused of domestic abuse battery with strangulation, and other charges after reports were made about a child at a school.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed on April 11, 2023, that on April 6, Detectives responded to a local school in relation to potential cruelty to a juvenile.
According to reports, detectives obtained statements and discovered scratches and bruising on a 13-year-old child.

On April 10, 2023, Detectives requested an arrest warrant based on the information received for Jeremy Todd Mallett, 39, of Welsh, Louisiana for Domestic Abuse Battery with Strangulation, Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, and Cruelty to juveniles.

Authorities indicated that the charges were the result of an incident that occurred at Mallett’s home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
