Louisiana Man Arrested Accused of 50 Counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles After a Tip from Google
DeRidder, Louisiana – The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on August 12, 2022, that on May 23, 2022, Special Agents with the Attorney General’s Office reviewed complaints made by Google to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children where an account downloaded multiple images of child sexual abuse material. This case was turned over to Detective Toree Simmons of the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, August 12, 2022, a Special Response Team comprised of DeRidder Police Department police and Beauregard Sheriff’s Office deputies searched Phillip Heard’s home.
The search resulted in the arrest of Heard for (50) counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles. Heard is to be held without bond at this time.
This investigation is still ongoing and could lead to additional charges.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
