Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana - The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office reached out to the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit - Houma Field Office on January 19, 2024, seeking help with a human trafficking case. This investigation eventually resulted in the apprehension of 29-year-old Henrys Suarez from Houma.

The investigators from Louisiana State Police SVU discovered that a victim of human trafficking reached out to the Houma Police Department and Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office to report that Suarez was coercing them into having sexual encounters with unfamiliar individuals in Jefferson Parish in exchange for money. Suarez was taken into custody by Louisiana State Police SVU investigators and subsequently placed in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. The charges brought against him include one count of human trafficking and one count of pandering.
