Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – Motorists planning to travel on Interstate 10 Westbound in Calcasieu Parish this Friday should be prepared for intermittent lane closures in Sulphur and Westlake. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) has announced that the left lane of I-10 Westbound will be closed from Milepost 20 to Milepost 27 on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The closure is necessary to facilitate a mobile operation aimed at cleaning and sweeping the inside shoulder of bridges along the affected stretch of highway. This maintenance work is crucial to ensuring the safety and integrity of the infrastructure.

During the closure, drivers can expect delays and are advised to plan their routes accordingly. It is essential to exercise caution and patience while navigating through the affected area, as lane closures can increase the risk of crashes and incidents.
