Louisiana High School Baseball Field Renamed to Commemorate Fallen State Trooper

On April 3, 2021, Louisiana State Police had the honor and privilege to join Albany High School, family, and friends of fallen Louisiana State Trooper George Baker as the baseball field at Albany High School was dedicated and re-named the Trooper George Baker Memorial Field to commemorate the life and ultimate sacrifice Trooper Baker gave.
Trooper Baker graduated from Albany High School in 2005 and was a member of the Hornet baseball team. Trooper Baker’s daughter, Harper, threw the first pitch on the Trooper George Baker Memorial Field.
