Louisiana Fire Marshal Seeks Public’s Videos and Images for Deridder Dealership Fire Investigation

Deridder, Louisiana – The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is actively requesting the public’s assistance in collecting videos and images of a significant commercial structure fire that took place in the Deridder area over the weekend.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, the Rosepine Fire Department was called to respond to a fire at the Benoit Ford dealership on Johnnie B Hall Memorial Highway in Deridder. The fire extensively damaged the building and all of the dealership’s contents and inventory.

SFM deputies are presently investigating to determine the origin and cause of this fire, but due to the extensive damage, they require help from the public.
