Livingston, Louisiana - A devastating single-vehicle crash occurred in the early hours of June 29, 2024, resulting in the tragic loss of life of a 23-year-old man from Livingston, Louisiana.
According to the Louisiana State Police, Troop A responded to the incident on LA 63 near LA 444 shortly before 3:00 a.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that Joseph Dodds, the driver of a 2022 Toyota Corolla, was traveling southbound on LA 63 when his vehicle inexplicably exited the roadway and struck a tree.
Dodds, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities are currently unclear whether impairment was a contributing factor. However, standard toxicology samples will be collected and submitted for analysis to determine if any substances were involved.
