Iberville Parish, Louisiana - Just before 5:00 a.m. on March 21, 2024, Louisiana State Police Troop A Troopers arrived at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on LA 405 near Troxclair Drive in Iberville Parish. Sadly, the crash resulted in the death of 20-year-old Raydell Estrada from Harvey, Louisiana.

Initial findings from the investigation showed that Estrada was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram northbound on LA 405. It is unclear why, but Estrada was unable to navigate a left-hand turn, leading to the vehicle losing control and overturning off the road.

Estrada, who was wearing a seatbelt, was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for medical care. Unfortunately, it was reported on Monday, March 25, 2024, that Estrada passed away from his injuries. Although impairment was not thought to be a factor, routine toxicology samples were collected and sent for testing.
