Louisiana Fatal Crash on LA Highway 157 Claims Life of Unrestrained 64-Year-Old Driver

Benton, Louisiana – A tragic crash on Louisiana Highway 157 has resulted in the loss of a life. On September 16, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 157, two miles north of Louisiana Highway 162.

According to the preliminary investigation, 64-year-old Angela Page of Benton, Louisiana was driving a 2020 Nissan Rogue south on Louisiana Highway 157 when, for reasons still under investigation, her vehicle entered the northbound lane, left the roadway, overturned, and collided with several trees. Page, who was unrestrained at the time of the crash, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Although impairment is not suspected, routine toxicology samples were collected and submitted for analysis. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and the Louisiana State Police are working to determine the cause of the incident.

The Louisiana State Police urge all drivers and passengers to make seat belt safety a priority. By taking a few seconds to buckle up, individuals can greatly reduce their risk of injury or death in the event of a crash.
