Start, Louisiana – Louisiana State Police Troop F started looking into a deadly single-vehicle crash on I-20 west of Start, Louisiana on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, just before 3:00 p.m. The crash resulted in the death of 64-year-old Kenneth Bradley of Rayville, Louisiana.

The first investigation found that a 1992 Toyota Pickup, being driven by Bradley, was heading west on I-20 in the right lane. The Toyota veered off the road to the right and collided with a tree, for reasons that are still being looked into.

According to Louisiana State Police, Bradley, who was not properly restrained, sustained deadly injuries and passed away at the crash site. Standard toxicology samples were taken and will be analyzed. The incident is still being investigated by LSP.

Louisiana State Police is urging drivers to reduce their speed, wear their seat belts, and minimize distractions. It is important to remember that crashes can happen to anyone, regardless of who they are or what type of vehicle they are driving. Speeding increases the chances of suffering severe injuries or death, with not wearing a seat belt significantly raising that risk.

So far 2024, Troop F has investigated 18 deadly crashes which have led to 19 fatalities.
