Louisiana Fatal Crash Claims Life of Winnsboro Man on LA 562

Franklin Parish, Louisiana - A single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 562 near Drane Loop on Sunday, October 27, resulted in the death of 50-year-old Kevin Crain of Winnsboro, Louisiana. The incident occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. and is currently under investigation by Louisiana State Police Troop F.

According to the initial investigation, Crain was driving a 1999 Infiniti QX4 eastbound on Louisiana Highway 562 when, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree. According to Louisiana State Police, Crain, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although impairment is not suspected to have played a role in the crash, routine toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released any further information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
