Louisiana Fatal Crash Claims Life of Unrestrained Covington Man on Highway 21

Bogalusa, Louisiana - On March 13, 2025, at approximately 5:50 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to a tragic single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 21 near Easterling Landing Road in Washington Parish. The incident claimed the life of 34-year-old Joshua J. Curry, a resident of Covington, Louisiana.

According to preliminary findings from the investigation, Curry was driving a 2014 GMC Yukon northbound on LA Hwy 21 when he failed to navigate a left-hand curve. As a result, the vehicle veered off the roadway, overturned, and ultimately collided with a nearby residence.

Curry, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained multiple fatal injuries. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene of the incident. In accordance with standard procedures, a toxicology sample was obtained from Curry for further analysis to determine if substances may have contributed to the crash.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, and authorities are working to uncover the factors that led to this tragic event.
