Louisiana Fatal Car Crash on LA Hwy 1045 Claims Life of Unrestrained Man

Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana - In the early hours of December 3, around 2:30 am, Louisiana State Police Troop L initiated an investigation into a fatal single-vehicle crash on LA Hwy 1045 near Courtney Lane in Tangipahoa Parish. The crash resulted in the tragic death of Datrevian Hamler, a 25-year-old from Greensburg, Louisiana.

According to initial findings, the incident occurred as Hamler was driving northbound on LA Hwy 1045 in a 2011 Toyota Camry. The vehicle veered off the road and collided with a culvert for reasons that are currently being investigated. Hamler, who was not wearing a seatbelt according to Louisiana State Police, suffered fatal injuries as a consequence of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As part of the ongoing investigation, a sample for toxicology analysis was taken from Hamler.
