Ouachita Parish, Louisiana – Louisiana State Police Troop F began looking into a deadly single-vehicle crash on LA-546 near LA-838 (New Natchitoches Road) early in the morning on Sunday, December 10, 2023. The crash took the life of Christopher Clark, a 27-year-old from West Monroe, Louisiana.

An initial investigation showed that Clark was driving a 2002 Ford F150 south on LA-546 when the vehicle left the road, flipped over, and hit a tree. Clark, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Samples for routine toxicology tests were taken and are awaiting analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.

Louisiana State Police urged drivers to slow down, wear seat belts, and minimize distractions while driving since crashes can happen to anyone regardless of who they are or what they drive.

So far in 2023 alone, Troop F has looked into 40 fatal crashes resulting in 48 deaths.
