Bossier Parish, Louisiana – A three-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 3 resulted in one fatality and two injuries during the early morning hours of December 30, according to Louisiana State Police Troop G.

Chiner Long, 27, died at the scene after the 2021 Toyota Corolla she was driving crossed the centerline and collided with two southbound vehicles shortly after 5:30 a.m. The crash occurred north of Louisiana Highway 160.

State Police investigators report that Long’s vehicle struck both a 2018 Hyundai Sonata and a 2022 Ford F-250 pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction. Long, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the Hyundai Sonata, both properly restrained with seat belts, suffered moderate injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford F-250, who was also wearing a seat belt, emerged from the crash uninjured.

While investigators do not suspect impairment as a factor in the crash, standard toxicology samples were collected from Long and submitted for analysis, as is protocol in fatal crashes. The incident remains under active investigation by Louisiana State Police.
