Louisiana Cyber Crime Unit Arrests West Monroe on 285 Counts of Allegedly Possessing Child Pornography Involving Young Children

West Monroe, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Justice announced on June 28 that a man was arrested by Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit for allegedly possessing child pornography involving children under the age of thirteen.

71-year-old Herman Brady Jr., from Wheelis Street in West Monroe, Louisiana was taken into custody on June 27 for allegedly committing the crime:

  • LA R.S. 14:81.1 – (285 Counts) Possession of Child Pornography Under the Age of Thirteen

Agents first received a lead from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

The arrest occurred as a collaboration between General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit and the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Herman Brady Jr. was taken into custody and processed at the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center without any issues.

He is currently being detained without the option of posting bail.

This investigation is ongoing.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
