Jefferson and St. Tammany Parishes in Louisiana - In a collaborative effort, the Louisiana State Police-Special Victim's Unit (LSP-SVU), the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), the Madisonville Police Department, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested two individuals on charges related to child sexual exploitation. The arrests were made on August 8 and 9, following an investigation into alleged indecent behavior with juveniles and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

Uri Parra Gonzalez, 35, of Slidell, Louisiana and Gregory Wright, 31, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana were each charged with LRS 14:81 – Indecent behavior with juveniles and LRS 14:81.3 – Computer-aided solicitation of a minor. Gonzalez was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail, while Wright was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. The cases remain under investigation, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.

The LSP-SVU is dedicated to rescuing and seeking justice for victims of child exploitation and human trafficking. Through partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, the unit focuses on public education and relies on assistance from the public to identify suspects accused of these crimes. The Louisiana State Police online reporting system allows individuals to report suspicious or criminal activity anonymously, submitting tips to the appropriate investigators through an online form. To report anonymously, visit http://la-safe.org and click on the "Suspicious Activity" link.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
