Saint Bernard, Louisiana – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on St. Bernard Highway in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 3:15 am on November 11, 2024, near the intersection of Riverbend Drive.

According to the Louisiana State Police, 26-year-old Kyle St. Angelo of Saint Bernard, Louisiana was driving a 2024 Suzuki DRZ 400 motorcycle north on St. Bernard Highway when a pickup truck turned left onto Riverbend Drive, into his path. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the pickup truck, ejecting St. Angelo, who was wearing a Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved helmet. Despite wearing safety gear, St. Angelo died on the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, however, did not stop or contact law enforcement and fled the scene. Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop B are now working to gather all possible information regarding the investigation and are urging anyone with information on the crash to come forward.

Through their investigation, authorities have determined that the suspect pickup truck is a newer model, light-colored crew cab RAM pickup truck, possibly white. The vehicle is believed to have damage to the passenger side, near the front passenger door. Anyone with information on the crash or the suspect vehicle is encouraged to contact Troop B at (504) 471-2775.
