New Orleans, Louisiana – Law enforcement agencies across Louisiana are intensifying their search for the remaining two fugitives who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center on May 16, 2025. While eight of the ten escapees have been located and returned to custody, two remain at large. Authorities are urging the public to report any information that may help locate these individuals, emphasizing that harboring fugitives is a serious crime.
Ongoing Investigation and Arrests for Assistance
Louisiana State Police (LSP) investigators, working in cooperation with local, state, and federal partners, have determined that several people aided some of the escapees. This assistance ranged from providing shelter to helping with transportation and possibly other resources. As a result, six individuals have been arrested on charges related to assisting the fugitives.
For allegedly helping Antoine Massey, who is still at large, Diamond White, 21, was arrested and charged as a principal to aggravated escape and with obstruction of justice. Aggravated escape refers to a more serious form of escape, often involving violence, weapons, or significant threats to public safety. Obstruction of justice typically means interfering with law enforcement’s investigation or legal process.
In connection with Lenton Vanburen, who has since been recaptured, the following individuals were arrested as accessories after the fact: Lenika Vanburen, 28; Tyshanea Randolph, 27; Patricia Vanburen, 18; Angel McKay, 41; and Lenton Vanburen Sr., 48. An accessory after the fact is someone who helps a criminal avoid arrest or prosecution after a crime has been committed. All suspects were booked into the Plaquemines Parish Jail.
Community Participation and Rewards
Law enforcement officials stress that the investigation is ongoing and that further arrests may be made as more information becomes available.
Authorities warn that anyone who chooses to aid, conceal, or harbor fugitives is breaking the law and will be prosecuted, no matter how minor their involvement or their location.
To encourage public assistance, a total reward of $20,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of each fugitive. This includes $5,000 each from Crime Stoppers Greater New Orleans and the ATF, and $10,000 from the FBI.
