Lane Closures on US 171 in Both Directions in Calcasieu Parish Beginning May 9

Lake Charles, Louisiana – Starting on May 9, there will be lane closures on US 171 in both directions in Calcasieu Parish.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) announced that the right lane of US 171 northbound and southbound will be closed daily between milepost 4 and 5.1 in Calcasieu Parish. The closures are expected to begin May 9, 2023, and last until May 16, 2023, and will be in effect from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily.

These closures are for bridge cleaning and painting work.

LADOTD indicated that there will be an 11-foot width restriction during the work.
