Lane Closures in Lake Charles at the Intersection of Ham Reid Road and Elliott Road Intersection Beginning May 18

Lake Charles, Louisiana – Beginning May 18, there will be lane closures at the intersection of Ham Reid Road and Elliott Road in Lake Charles.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury (CPPJ) has announced that the east leg of the intersection of Ham Reid Road and Elliott Road in Lake Charles, Louisiana will close beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023, for roundabout construction.

According to CPPJ, this portion of the intersection is expected to reopen at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023.

Northbound traffic should detour by taking Weaver Road to Country Club Road. Southbound traffic should detour by taking Nelson Road to West Gauthier Road.

All road work is dependent on weather conditions. Drivers are asked to use caution when driving in the area.
