Stephanie Y. Clark from Lake Charles has admitted her guilt in committing the crime of Theft over $25,000 on September 21. The incident occurred in 2022 when Clark was found to be using a credit card belonging to her former employer to make unauthorized purchases. Upon conducting a financial audit, it was discovered that Clark had stolen over $200,000.
In a move to rectify her wrongdoing, Clark has paid $125,000 in restitution as of today. A hearing for restitution and sentencing for Clark has been scheduled for January 17, 2024, and it will be presided over by Judge Clayton Davis. The Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office is responsible for prosecuting this case, with First Assistant District Attorney Jacob Johnson leading the charge.
