Overturned Semi-Trailer on I-10 Eastbound near Fruge Street – Lake Charles Police Department Urges Avoidance

Lake Charles, LA – In a recent update, the Lake Charles Police Department (LCPD) has issued a cautionary notice to motorists following a crash on Monday, April 22, 2024, involving an overturned semi-trailer. The incident took place on Interstate 10 Eastbound in the vicinity of Fruge Street, prompting authorities to advise drivers to steer clear of this section until further notice.

The 18-wheeler was reportedly carrying roofing supplies. At the time this was published, cleanup of debris from the crash was underway.
