Lake Charles, Louisiana – A wreck on the Lake Charles side of the Calcasieu River Bridge has prompted the Lake Charles Police Department to advise drivers to avoid Interstate 10 Eastbound until approximately 8:40 pm. The incident occurred at the base of the bridge, causing significant disruptions to traffic in the area.

According to reports, westbound traffic on I-10 is also moving very slowly as drivers approach the bridge. The Lake Charles Police Department has warned drivers to expect delays in the area and to plan their routes accordingly.
