Lake Charles, Louisiana - The City of Lake Charles Mayor's Armed Forces Commission (MAFC) will host its flagship fundraising event, the 17th Annual Patriots Ball of Louisiana, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at L'Auberge Casino Resort's Grand Ballroom in Lake Charles.

The patriotic gala, hosted by Mayor Nicholas E. Hunter and his wife, will begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour followed by dinner at 6 p.m. The evening serves as the main annual fundraising initiative for the MAFC, which supports area veterans, patriotic projects, and various activities throughout the year.

Event Highlights

During the evening, the commission will honor four Southwest Louisiana residents for their patriotic service to the community. Awards will be presented in categories including Civilian Patriot of the Year, Emergency Responder Patriot of the Year, and Military Patriot of the Year. Additionally, a Patriot of the Year will be remembered posthumously.

The formal program will conclude with a toast to each branch of the United States military, celebrating their service and dedication. Following the presentations, local DJ Damon Vincent of Upscale Productions will provide entertainment as attendees dance the night away.

Miss Armed Forces 2025

A highlight of the evening will be the introduction of Miss Armed Forces 2025, who was selected at a pageant held on Saturday, May 17, 2025. This representative serves as an ambassador for Lake Charles' Red, White, Blue and You and the Mayor's Armed Forces Commission, attending events, festivals, and fairs across Louisiana to promote patriotism and honor veterans and military personnel.
