Lake Charles, Louisiana - A 15-year-old student at St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles, was arrested on November 5 after allegedly making a threat to bring a gun to school. According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO), deputies were dispatched to the school at approximately 9:00 a.m. in response to the threat.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the student had made the threat, which was later confirmed by the student himself. As a result, the student was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on charges of menacing.

CPSO Detective Mika Liptak is leading the investigation into the incident. The CPSO has not released any further information about the student or the circumstances surrounding the threat.

The arrest comes as schools across the country continue to grapple with the issue of student safety and threats of violence. In recent years, there has been an increase in reported threats and incidents of violence at schools.
