Lake Charles Roadwork Alert: Partial Closure on West Prien Lake Road Near the Mall

Lake Charles, Louisiana - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced a partial closure on West Prien Lake Road, starting Monday, November 13, 2023, at 8:00 AM and ending at 7:00 PM on the same day. The closure is necessary to facilitate roadwork in the area.

The affected area will be the right lane of West Prien Lake Road Eastbound, in front of the Prien Lake Mall, with the closure starting approximately 0.16 miles east of Lake Street and ending around 0.17 miles east of Lake Street. Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly and expect delays during this time.

The roadwork being conducted is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in the area, aimed at enhancing safety and efficiency for motorists. The DOTD urges drivers to exercise caution and follow any detour signs or instructions provided by traffic personnel in the area.
