Lake Charles, Louisiana - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) has announced that alternating lane closures will take place along LA 384, also known as Country Club Road, between South Prien Lake Road and Jerry Road in Lake Charles. These closures are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, to allow maintenance crews to perform essential ditch maintenance in the area.

According to transportation authorities, these lane closures are necessary to improve stormwater drainage and help prevent roadway flooding. Ditch maintenance involves clearing debris and sediment from roadside ditches. These specialized drainage channels are designed to keep water off the road surface, maintain safe driving conditions, and extend the life of the pavement.

Motorists traveling through this stretch of Lake Charles should expect delays and are encouraged to plan alternate routes or allow extra time to reach their destinations.

No major detours have been announced for this lane closure.
