Lake Charles, Louisiana - A 19-year-old Lake Charles resident, Jermaine Reed Jackson, has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one person injured last month at the King’s Point convenience store on Gerstner Memorial Boulevard. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025, prompting a response from the Lake Charles Police Department and emergency services.
According to authorities, Jackson was taken into custody and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Facility. He faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and the illegal use of weapons. His bond is set at $650,000.
