Lake Charles Middle School Student Arrested by CPSO, Charged with Terrorizing

Lake Charles, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that during the morning of September 8, 2021, they were notified of a possible threat from a student at S.J. Welsh Middle School in Lake Charles. Detectives indicated that during the investigation, it was found that a 13-year-old boy allegedly threatened to shoot up the school.
The student was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Kardel Guidry is the lead investigator on the case.
