Lake Charles Man Sentenced to Life in Prison For the 2020 Rape of Victim Under 13

Lake Charles, Louisiana – A Lake Charles, Louisiana man has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2020 rape of a victim under the age of 13.

Kaden S. Peloquin, a 19-year-old resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana, has been convicted of First Degree Rape and sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor by Judge Robert Wyatt. The heinous crime was committed in 2020 when Peloquin, repeatedly forced a victim who was under 13, to engage in sexual intercourse with him.

During the course of the investigation, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a thorough examination of Peloquin’s cell phone. The findings were deeply disturbing, as they uncovered over 50 images of child pornography that had been created during the attacks on the victim.

The case was handled by Assistant District Attorneys Charles Robinson and Taylor Alexander on behalf of the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.
